If you are interested in starting a blog during this lockdown 2020 but didn’t know how to avoid the mistakes and can create a wonderful blog/website then you are in the right place.

Here I am going to share the 8 points that you should remember before starting a blog. If you succeed in avoiding these mistakes, you are able to make a beautiful, nice blog of your choice.

1. Do not start on a free blogging

I can understand that starting a blog for “free” sounds sexy, but there are no free lunches in this site. You can not go long on a free website and blog. Another thing is that a free blog is

  • Unprofessional
  • Sloppy
  • Not trustworthy
  • Not owned by you
  • And, a waste of time

So be careful about it.

2. Do not start in a niche you are not passionate about

Yes, follow your passion, and write a creative article of your interest. Almost any passion you have can be monetized with the right blog and the right plan.

Remember that it is very important to select a niche of your interest. If you failed to get this then you will be bored and stop writing.

3. Write for yourself first

Of course, write for yourself 1st and foremost. Ignore the fact that anyone else will read what you write; just focus on your thoughts, ideas, and figure out how to put those into words. Write to them & they will come.

4. Do not buy a bad/cheap hosting for your domain

Due to cheap or bad hosting our website kept crashing due to large influxes of traffic coming from Pinterest and other sites.

So, it is very very important to know about the hosting. Before going to buy a hosting plan please compare the latest 5 to 6 hosting provider websites to fetch better ideas and about their plans.

5. Do not buy crazy expensive all-inclusive software

Do not go for paid software. If you add extra plugins or extra themes to your website or blog its speed gets slow down. As a result of this, the load time of your website online may very slow.

6. Do not ignore the power of Pinterest

Think of Pinterest and blogging like peanut butter and jelly, milk, and cookies. If you are not using Pinterest for your blog then you are crazy. Pinterest is the best platform from where you can get more traffic to your blog.

7. Be consistent

Consistency is one of the most important things that bloggers tend to forget. It is much easier to lose your traffic than it is to build it up. So make sure that you are consistent on your blog.

8. Do not give-up

Never ever give up. No matter what we just kept moving forward. It doesn’t matter whether it takes 7 months or 7 years to find success, what matters is that you don’t give you until life gives you what you deserve.

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius
