What road safety measures should be taken for aged and physically handicapped persons

Concerning road safety, as we all know the problem of aged and physically handicapped persons are that they need some extra time to cross the road comparing to a normal being. So, in this case, we should be very humble and support them.

In the city like Singapore where automatic traffic systems ar generated, there is a scheme to extend time limits to crossing the road for these persons.

They are provided with a card (green Man card) and they have to scan it in a traffic machine wherever they want to cross the road to extend time limits.

This scheme is very helpful for them and they can able to cross roads safely & easily.

Although we have no such schemes or not so developed, I can say that without any scheme in this case simply we can help them by following traffic rules obediently wherever we may be i.e. expressway in India, the highway in India or in any way and helping them to cross the road in case of necessity.
